Hi Sand Dune Enthusiasts,

We are hosting the annual Sand Dune Gathering in Galway this year. In a nutshell, it is an event for us all to share our knowledge and see what best practice looks like for sand dunes.

Gathering Outcomes: 

- Help with local actions for 2025 (bite-sized best-practice)

- Network with dune managers & volunteers

- Exhibition space to share your work

- Access to dune resources

- A good practice field trip to Grattan Beach, Salthill.

Organised by The Beaches & Dune Forum. This is the only opportunity to do this in the year. It is the only national open meeting for dunes we have. es the Gathering is on a Saturday. Last year we had it on a Friday to accommodate public sector workers attending. So this year we are accommodating the community volunteers who have full time jobs on top of their volunteering hours. Unfortunately there is no ideal timing.
